Mary Soday Frank, age 73, of Columbia, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2011, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia. She was born April 15, 1937, in Pensacola, Florida, the daughter of the late George William and Beulah D'Angelo Soday.
On April 12, 1957, in Pensacola, Florida, she was united in marriage to Vernon E. Frank, who preceded her in death on February 9, 2004.
Mary taught business classes for 18 years until her retirement. She was also the customer service manager at the Versailles Wal-Mart for 29 years.
She was a member of the Versailles First Baptist Church.
Mary enjoyed spending time with her family, and was always willing to help others.
She is survived by her son, Vernon William "Peanut" Frank and wife Lisa of Columbia, Missouri; her daughters, Patricia Ann Swisher and husband Michael of Mexico, Missouri, Cindy Lee Campbell and husband Chuck of Versailles, Missouri, Melodi Lynn Hendrickson and husband Dan of Springfield, Missouri, and Mary Kim "Tuffy" Wisdom and husband Kerry of Eureka, Missouri; twelve grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; her sister, Betsy Luker and husband Don of Pensacola, Florida; and many other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, William Soday.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 13, at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles with the Reverend Jim Randall officiating. Interment will follow in the West Lawn Addition of the Versailles Cemetery with Chuck Campbell, Mike Swisher, Kerry Wisdom, Dan Hendrickson, Jon Swisher, and Kory Wisdom serving as casketbearers. The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the .
