Virginia (Ginny) 91, passed away early Tuesday morning, November 19, 2013 in Wernersville, PA, where she was residing in a senior living center close to her son Robert and his family. Born January 31, 1922, in Prairie Home, MO to parents, Robert W. Lacy, Sr. and Elizabeth Melvina (Jones) Lacy, she was the youngest of three children, her two brothers preceding her in death, Archibald J. (Chic) Lacy and R.W. Lacy, Jr. Her friends called her Ginny as she was dearly loved by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years of marriage, Herbert A Rippley of Boonville. Together they had five children, Robert of Sinking Spring, PA, Mark, Greg, Herbert and Virginia Ann of the greater Dallas, Texas area. Ginny and Herb had 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren so far with another one on the way.

Ginny was a graduate of William Woods College in Fulton, MO. She spent the war years as an air traffic controller in Washington, D.C., after graduating from airline school in Kansas City, MO. She met Herb while he was on leave from the Pacific front. She spent her married years taking care of her family and supporting Herb in his wholesale grocery distribution career that took them to 5 different states over the course of his career. She also enjoyed traveling the word with Herb and with friends after her children was grown. She will dearly be missed by her family and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 22, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral Service will be Saturday November 23, 2013 at 11:00 a.m., both held at William Wood Funeral Home 517 4th St. Boonville, MO. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
