N. R. A. 'Rey' Perera, 81, of Boonville, passed away at his home on Friday morning, June 17, 2016.
Inurnment with military honors will be held at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, Mo. on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at 2 p.m.
N. R. A. Perera was born in Tampa, Fla. March 23, 1935, the son Reynaldo Perera and Antonia Rodriquiz.
Mr. Perera married Deanna Reinhard, August 31, 1957 in England while serving his country with the U. S. Air Force. He retired in 1977 after serving for twenty-seven years, at which time the family moved to rural Boonville where they took up farming and were well known for raising exotic animals. He was the registrant for the Karakul American Sheep registry for many years.
Mr. Perera was preceded in death by two brothers; Sergio and Rene Perera. He is survived by his wife, Deanna, of the home, his daughters, Gaye Marie Perera of Camp Zama, U. S. Army, Japan and Helene Lynn (Wayne) Bishop Perera, of Boonville and one brother, Lino Perera of Tampa, Fla. His grandchildren; Logan and Alex Perera of Camp Zama, Japan, Tyler and Sadie Bishop Perera, of Boonville, Jonathan (Rebecca) Bishop of Salt Lake City, Utah, Joseph (Sabrina) Bishop, of Jefferson City and Zacherey (Abby) Bishop of Boonville also survive.
