Phillip Woodruff died suddenly as the result of an automobile accident near Armstrong, MO on March 26, 2016. He was 15 years of age.
Phillip Michael Woodruff was born in Columbia, MO on June 24, 2000 to Joseph Woodruff and Megan Brand. He was a sophomore attending Glasgow High School, where he was an active FFA member. Phillip loved outdoor activities, especially camping, fishing and hunting. He will be deeply missed by family and friends.
He is survived by his parents, Joseph Woodruff and Megan Brand; brother, Joseph Woodruff, Jr.; special aunt and uncle, Jessica and Matthew Elson; siblings, Miles and Abigail Elson; two half-sisters, Kiersten and Kaydence Woodruff; grandparents, Michael and Sandy Brand, Doug Elson, Robert and Paula Schluckebier, and Joseph Bussell; great-grandparent, Mildred Brand; he is also survived by numerous relatives and friends. Phillip was preceded in death by a sister, Carrie Lynn Brand.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 AM, Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Glasgow, with Fr. Alex Gabriel officiating. Visitation will be the evening before the funeral service, March 28, from 5-8 PM, at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Glasgow. A Rosary and a prayer service will be held immediately following the visitation at 8 PM. Burial will follow the service at Washington Cemetery in Glasgow with Daryl Elson, Mike Wright, Eric Monnig, Tim Brand, Dakota Martin and Donnie Rains serving as pallbearers.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Phillip Woodruff Memorial Fund, in care of Friemonth-Freese Funeral Service.
