Porter B. Williams, 100, of Boonville, Mo., passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at Cooper County Memorial Hospital in Boonville. Visitation will be held Friday, February 26, 2010 at William Wood Funeral Home in Boonville from 12:00 - 1:00 PM. Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 PM. with Rev. Scott Paris officiating. Interment will be in the Walnut Grove Cemetery in Boonville with Military Honors.

Mr. Williams was born June 17, 1909 in the Oakland Church community near Clarksburg, Mo. the son of George Franklin and Pearlie Albin Williams both of whom preceded him in death. He was united in marriage to Annabelle Brandes on November 28, 1964 in Boonville, Mo. She preceded him in death on April 16, 2000. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a farmer his entire life in the Bunceton, Mo. area before moving to Boonville in 1992.
He is survived by two brothers, Grover F. Williams of Cheyenne, Wyoming and Paul R. Williams of Bay City, Michigan and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Alma Baughman, Eulamae Fairfield, Ada Harris, and three brothers, George Lee Williams, James R. Williams and Victor K. Williams.
