Rex Robert Kraus, 49, of Pilot Grove, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at Katy Manor Nursing Home. He was born July 10, 1962 in Boonville, MO to Robert and Alice Wessing Kraus.
Rex graduated from Pilot Grove High School in 1982. He went to work in July, 1982 at Unlimited Opportunities in Boonville and worked there for 30 years. He was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pilot Grove, Clear Creek Knights of Columbus, People First through Unlimited Opportunities and the Special Olympics.
Survivors include his father and step-mother-Robert and Mary Ann Kraus of Pilot Grove; five siblings-Kent Kraus of Columbia; Warren Kraus and Deborah of Jefferson City, MO; Karla Moy and Eric Kraus and Rhonda of Pilot Grove; and Dale Kraus of Dallas, TX; five nephews, four nieces and a great niece and nephew. He was preceded in death by his mother, Alice.
Services for Mr. Kraus will be 10:00 AM, Monday, October 17, 2011 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pilot Grove with Father Phil Kane officiating. Burial will be in the St. John's Cemetery at Clear Creek.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, Sunday at the St. Joseph Catholic Church with a prayer service at 4:00 PM.
