Richard Baker, 78, of Lone Elm, passed away at his home on Thursday evening, Jan 30, 2014.

Visitation for Mr. Baker was at Davis Funeral Chapel on Sunday afternoon Feb. 2nd, from 4:00 until 6:00 o'clock. Funeral services was held at Zion Lutheran Church at Lone Elm on Monday Feb. 3rd at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Paul Weisenborn officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Richard Dale Baker was born in Kansas City, KS July 30, 1935, the son of Harland T. Baker and Ruth Toellner Baker. He married Judy Fahrenbrink June 22, 1957 at Zion Lutheran Church. He was an active member of the Zion Lutheran Church being baptized in 1935 and confirmed in 1950. Richard worked for the bakery in Boonville until he was forced to retire for health reasons. His neighbors were challenged to keep up with Richard regarding his hobby of keeping his yard in top shape.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents and one son, Douglas Baker, who passed away in 1993. He is survived by his wife, Judy, of the home, and two sons, Jeff and Michael Baker of Boonville and by a sister, Kathleen Carver of Boonville. Two grandchildren Justin and Casey Baker also survive.
Memorials are suggested to the Zion Lutheran Church.
