Robert L. Vollmer, 67, of Boonville passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, July 31, 2014.

Visitation for Robert will be held at Davis Funeral Chapel on Sunday afternoon from 3:00 until 5:00 o'clock with a wake service at 5:00 o'clock. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at SS Peter and Paul Church at 2:00 P.M. on Monday with Father Bob Duesdieker officiating. Inurnment will follow at the church cemetery.
Robert Leo Vollmer was born Nov. 27, 1946, the son of Leo Vollmer and Bernadine Schuster Vollmer. Robert married Laura Thompson Feb. 28, 1992 at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church. He was a farmer all his life along with his brothers, Francis and Leroy. Robert enjoyed quail hunting and marveled at the way his bird dog worked. He was dedicated to his family and extended family and appreciated their support throughout his illness.
Robert was preceded in death by his brothers, Francis and Don Vollmer and his sister, Gertrude Danner. His nephew, Warren Vollmer also preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Laura, of the home, brother, Leroy Vollmer of Boonville and children; Tim Kelly of Kansas City, Ben Kleoppel from the state of Minnesota, Kim Hamby from Oklahoma, and Amanda Lutz and Aaron Hubach, both of Boonville as well as fifteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Memorials are suggested to SS Peter and Paul School.
