Sharon Wilmsmeyer, 67 of New Franklin, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2012 at Cooper County Memorial Hospital after a hard fought battle with cancer surrounded by her family.

Visitation for Sharon will be Monday evening January 23 from 6 to 8 PM at Davis Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be 10AM Tuesday, January 24 at Davis Funeral Chapel with Deacon Dave Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in New Franklin.
Sharon Wilmsmeyer was born January 10, 1945 at St. Jospeh Hospital in Boonville, MO the daughter of Fred Stocklein and Virginia Hayes Stoecklein. She graduated from Boonville High School in 1962. She married Ralph Wilmsmeyer on November 23, 1969 at S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Sharon worked for 39 years for Exchange Bank in New Franklin until her retirement in 2010. She also was the secretary for the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery Association for many years. In her spare time she loved to take care of her flower gardens and enjoyed anything to do with the outdoors. She loved her family and enjoyed being a grandma, her grandsons' will always hold a special place in her heart.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Ralph of the home, Her son Jeff Wilmsmeyer and wife Christa of NewFranklin and her two grandchildren, Clayton and Connor Wilmsmeyer of New Franklin.
