Shirley C. (Strain) Knicker, 76, of Boonville, MO, passed away peacefully at her home in Mission, KS surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, December 31, 2011. Shirley was born in Higbee, MO, August 19, 1935, to Roy William and Martha Wilton Miles Strain.

On January 30, 1954, she was united in marriage to George Henry Knicker in Elmhurst, Illinois. They were married for 48 wonderful years. Shirley and George moved to Boonville in 1960, from the Lake area in order to find employment and to raise their children. Shirley had worked for McGraw Edison and Toastmaster for twenty plus years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George; sister, Geraldine Carroll; and brother-in-law, Robert Carroll, parents, grandparents, and aunts.
She is survived by her daughters, DeAnn Inskeep (Tony) of Mission, Kansas; DeLynn Beebe (Carl) of Bucker, MO; two grandsons, Scott Inskeep (Deanna Haley), Grandview, MO, Kyle Inskeep (Danielle Pearson), Mission, Kansas. Her constant companion cat, Coal; niece Donna Berner and family, Liberty, MO; and nephews Dennis Carroll, Boonville, MO; and Duane Carroll and Chris, Columbia, MO.
Visitation for Shirley will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2012, starting at 9:30 a.m. at Davis Funeral Chapel, Boonville, MO, followed by services at 10:30 a.m. at Davis Chapel, with burial following at Higbee Cemetery, Higbee, MO.
