Teddy Gene Thompson, 72, of Boonville passed away Thursday night Jan. 1 at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.

Visitation for Teddy will be 2-3 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8 at Davis Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. with Rev. Nick Campbell officiating. The family wants to invite everyone after the service to the house (1112 4th Street) to keep celebrating Teddy's life.
Teddy Gene Thompson was born August 11, 1943 in Prairie Home, MO the son of James Thompson and Louis Hutchison. Teddy was raised and from the Prairie Home area all of his life. He married Nancy Fullington on Feb. 12, 1979 in Fulton, MO. Teddy started driving a truck at the age of 15 and was still racking up the miles until he passed away. He had a co-pilot that traveled with him, his dog Misty Dawn made the trips with him. In his spare time he liked to tinker in the garage on cars and projects. His family was the most important thing to him as he loved to spoil his grandchildren.
Teddy was preceded in death by his parents, one great-granddaughter, Olivia Mae and sisters; Jamie Rodick and Judy Thompson. He is survived by his Daughters; Misty Schilling of Jefferson City, MO, Cristina Thompson of San Quinton, CA, Lynn Markes of Boonsboro, MO, and Kathleen Ivy and husband Josh of Boonville. His sisters; Linda Smith and husband Larry of Atlanta, GA., Betty Warfield of Harrisburg, MO., and Phyllis White and husband David of Boonville, MO. He will be missed very much by his grandchildren; Mystic, Megan, Morgan, David and Daniel Leeper, Nicholas Pierce, Amanda De Long, T.J., Tara and Ronnie J.R Hickam, and Chase Carrender and one on the way. Also surviving; Savannah Grace, Myah Faith, Chance Leeper.
