Truman J. Schler, 81, of Boonville, passed away at his home on Saturday morning, Aug. 20, 2011.

Visitation for Truman will be held at Davis Funeral Chapel on Sunday evening, Aug. 21, from 6:00 until 8:00 o'clock. Funeral services will be held at Davis Chapel on Monday, Aug. 22, 2011 at 2:00 o'clock, with burial following at West Boonville Evangelical Church cemetery. Rev. Leroy Brown will be the Officiant.
Truman Jacob Schler was born in Boonville, MO, Aug. 10, 1930, the son or Andrew Jacob Schler and Ida Barbara Johnmeyer Schler. He married Edith Mae Bishop Sept. 13, 1975 and she preceded him in death on July 26, 2011. Truman was in the construction business for many years, until his retirement, at which time he pursued his interests in the antique business by attending local auctions. He enjoyed working and he kept busy in the scrap iron business until his health gave out.
Mr. Schler was preceded in death by wife, Edie, by one son, Tony Schler, and by two sisters, Eileen Grabe and Alice Heather. He is survived by his children; sons, Truman Schler, Jr., Harry Schler, of Boonville, Terry Schler of Columbia and Raymond Ford of Jamestown and daughters, Patricia Carothers of Bonne Terre, Brenda Eberth of Beaumont, TX, Tammy Eichelberger of Boonville and Roseann Volrath of Boonville and Kimberly Ford, of Columbia. His sister, Velma Flippin of Boonville as well as 24 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren also survive.
