Vickie Heisler, 62, died unexpectedly at Boone Hospital in Columbia on Sunday, Jan. 9, 2011.
There will be a memorial service for Vickie at Davis Funeral Home at 7:00 P.M. on Friday with Jon Thoma officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 o'clock until time of the service.
Vickie Faye Heisler was born in Boonville, August 16, 1948, the daughter of Oscar Smith and Buela Arnold Smith. She married Jerry Heisler in April of 1968 and they have lived in Boonville their entire life. Vickie had a soft spot in her heart for animals and volunteered time and talent to the Boonville Humane Society. She worked for several years for CCMH as a receptionist and secretary in the Out Patient facility. She leaves behind many Boonville artifacts that she has collected over the years.
Mrs. Heisler was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Charlie Arnold. She is survived by her husband, Jerry, of the home, her son, Brian and his wife, Elaine, of Boonville and by grandchildren; DeeDee Hart, Larry Blakeley, Devin Heisler, Stevie Ingram and Brooklyn Heisler and her great-granddaughter, LiliAna Sykes.
In lieu of flowers, Vickie had requested that memorials be directed to the Boonville Animal Shelter. Friends may register online at:
