Virgil L. Arnold, Sr., of Boonville, passed away December 23, 2015 at Riverdell Care Center in Boonville. He was 73 years old.

Mr. Arnold was born October 16, 1942 in St. Louis to James Harvey and Vernice Tash Arnold. He married Linda Cheryl Ponds on September 7, 1963. She survives at their home.
Virgil was employed as a Corrections Officer for the Missouri Department of Corrections in Boonville for many years. He also volunteered as chaplain for the Boonville Correctional Center dedicating many years of service to his Lord. He was a member of the Open Bible Praise Center in Boonville.
Cherishing his memory is his wife Linda Cheryl Arnold; two sons, Virgil Arnold, Jr. and wife, Angela, Dwayne Arnold and wife, Carrie; two brothers, Jim and Don Arnold; a sister, Judy Bader; grandchildren, Jordyn Arnold, Samuel Arnold, Andy Gregory, Brooke Arnold and McKayla Arnold and a great-granddaughter, Moxleigh Lohr.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Terry Arnold.
Celebration of Life Services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, January 2, 2016 at the Open Bible Praise Center, 16991 Hwy. 87, Boonville, MO with Pastor Randy Richards officiating.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Open Bible Praise Center.
