Glasgow resident Virgil Wayne Elliott died suddenly at his home December 6, 2010. He was 72 years of age.

Mr. Elliott was born September 29, 1938 in Bevier, Missouri to Cecil and Frankie Littleton Elliott. He graduated from Glasgow High School in 1956. He had worked at Standard Havens for over 20 years. Virgil enjoyed fishing and hunting and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by two daughters, Bethanie "Betsy" Elliott of Branson, MO and
Keila Lewis of Salisbury and one son, Virgil Elliott, II of Salisbury, six grandchildren, step children, Mandy, David and Jeff & Sako Asher, Terry Angenendt and Korey Wood, three brothers, Joe and Tyra Elliott both of Fayette, Charles Elliott of Savannah, GA, three sisters, Jane Ewins and Teri Elliott of Fayette and Brenda Noll of Armstrong and a number of nieces, nephews and friends. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by three sisters, Peggy Sue Green, Lois Sartain and an infant Twila Ann Elliott and a brother, Jack Elliott and step-son Greg Angenendt.
A memorial service will be 2 PM, Saturday, December 11, 2010 at the Glasgow First Baptist Church with Rev. James Crooks officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Washington Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family in care of Friemonth-Freese Funeral Service, 112 Market St., Glasgow, MO 65254.
