William Joseph Quint, 57, passed away August 14, 2014 in Florence, Colorado. He was born in Dallas, Texas, on January 12, 1957 to Edward J. (EJ) and Joanne Quint.
Bill's father was born in Boonville (grandparents were Bill and Nellie Quint). Bill went to Central College in Fayette, MO, after he graduated from high school in Jacksonville, FL. He lived in Pilot Grove in 1975-1976 and was close to his Uncle Morris and Aunt Joann. He joined the army in 1977 and successfully completed 82 Airborne Jump School and spent the rest of his army career in Ft Bragg, NC. He was an adventurous young man and moved to Alaska after the army and worked as a lumberjack, fisherman, and carpenter. He traveled the country, but went back to school and completed a BA at Texas Tech and later completed an MSW degree from University of Texas in Arlington.
He is survived by his children, Aaron (Bethany) Newell from Killeen, TX; Travis Newell from Portland, OR; William Edward Quint, Bozeman, MT, and his former wife, Mary, and friend, Tina. He is survived by his loving mother, Joanne Liberty and stepfather Fred Hoge and his siblings, Julie Worden-Alen, Sandra Rodgers, Cynthia Dwyer, Jean Depoli, and brother, Mark Hoge. Bill has two grandchildren; Caleb and Abigail Rose Newell and two close cousins, Beverly and Nell Ann.
Bill was preceded in death by his father Edward, his Uncle Morris, sister-Patricia, grandchild Madeline.
Services will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 11AM at Meisenheimer Funeral Home located at 200 Roe, Pilot Grove.
