Winnifred May Smith, 86, of Boonville, passed away at Hartman Village on Sunday morning, April 10.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o'clock on Wednesday evening, April 13, at Davis Funeral Chapel.
Burial of the cremated remains will be in the National Cemetery of the Pacific in Honolulu, Hawaii at a later date.
Winnifred May Smith was born August 10, 1924, in Honolulu, Hawaii the daughter of William Ebling and Wilhelmina Serpa Ebling. She married Horace L. Smith Dec. 1, 1945, in Honolulu, Hawaii. He preceded her in death in 2009. They moved to Boonville in 1958 where Mr. Smith was involved with Kemper Military School. As the wife of her career U.S. Army husband, Winnifred raised three children. She was a member of the Eastern Star and First Christian Church.
Besides her husband of 64 years, she was preceded in death by her brother and twin sister.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her children, Robert Smith of Osage Beach, Missouri, Carolyn L. (Cookie) Smith of Kansas City, Missouri and Richard (Rick) Smith of San Antonio, Texas.
Memorials are suggested to Hartman Village in Boonville, Missouri.
