81, of Acton, formerly of Lawrence, MA, peacefully Jan. 23, 2014. Son of the late Armand L. & Lillian Demers. Husband of 59 years of Phyllis F. Demers. Father of Donna & husband Phil Taylor of Acton, Dee & partner Nancy of CO, Leo J. & wife Joyce Demers of Westford, MA, & Deniele & husband Jeff Pozz of Boxborough, MA. Grandfather of Ben & Jeff Taylor, Lauren Demers, & LeAnn & Jenna Pozz. US Marine Corps vet, Korean Era. Ret. from MIT Lincoln Lab 1995, & spent 8 years on Kwajalein of the Marshall Islands with his family. He instilled in his children the belief that they could do anything & go anywhere. Funeral Mass Wed. Jan. 29th at 11am in St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, 89 Arlington St., Acton, with a reception immediately following in the Parish Center. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to either the Alzheimer's Association, 480 Pleasant St, Watertown, MA 02472, online at http://www.alz.org/manh/ or gifts to the charity of your choice.
