Michael was open, kind and honest. I saw this in him even though I spoke with him only once. Since then I have met many of his family members and friends. As I discovered he made a huge impact on each person and on many others.
Now his struggle with pain is over. Now he can exists in spirit free of his burden.

I only knew Michael from my close friendship with his son Jesse. Still, every time I came accross him, he portrayed his big heart and kindness, and welcomed me into his home like one of his own. I'm thinking of Jesse, Emily, Alex, and Shelley during this tough time.

I only knew Michael for a short time, but I was moved by his courage, his deep love for his children, and his excitement about learning new approaches to healing. I trust that he is in a joyful place now, free of pain and at peace.

Uncle Michael,
I'm not sure where to start. You were a second father to me. All the trips to Boston....Red Sox games....being with the family. I know you are not in pain and are with my dad now.
You will always be in my heart.
Love your nephew forever,
Michael Aron Simes

With a heavy heart, I write this entry. My dear husband, Rick, and I were fortunate to have re-connected with Michael in Palm Springs this past Feb. After many years. I will treasure those times and all the times we spent together many years ago in the good old days in Boston. I have a feeling Rick and Michael. Have re-connected once again.

Hi Dad,
I just wanted to tell you how much I love you. I was sad to speak to you today at the funeral home, but I know you heard me and were happy to hear my voice telling you all the good times we had and how much you mean to me. I love you and will honor you for the rest of my life by doing the best I can. You said you kept all the cards I had written you for birthday and Father's Day and I saw those today. Those were some good memories. Tomorrow will be the toughest day of my life, but I know you will help me through it. I look forward to seeing you later in my life.
Jesse
