Donny and family... Perhaps there are not stars in the sky, but rather openings where our loved ones shine down and watch over us. Your mom was such a gentle woman, so kind and thoughtful to everyone. She'll always be around you...

Thank you for your kindness and the selfless giving of your time, the caring for my mother, the great supporter of a great high school football player and team and a great real veal dinner you made me.
A great women, mother, and a great human being as I will always remember you as.

My Gramma P has been a magical sparkle of GrammaNess for the 48 years I have been her granddaughter! She had a way of making you feel special even though every one of her grand, great grand and great great grandchildren were her favorite.
We lived a long distance from her and made the mecca to gramma's house a couple times a year. Cramped in the back seat of the car with my siblings and family dog; we never complained because we were going to grammas house. We would arrive to her house bursting at the seams with aunts, uncles and cousins! As the grown-ups laughed and hooted the cousins retreated to grammas room and bounced on the bed till their heads hit the ceiling! The adults would yell to slow down but gramma knew we were leaping over alligators and off mountain tops and would be seeking cookies and butterscotch candies after our adventure. The visit always ended with gramma waving from her kitchen window as we drove away looking forward to our next visit.
The week of my birthday I would sprint to the mailbox after school looking for my card from gramma mail addressed just to me from Gramma P.! I memorized her address so I could write to her anytime I wanted. Later years, when my children looked for the mailman delivering their special card I felt that same burst of childhood excitement!
Gram always had a hug for us and never let on she knew everything you had done before you got to her house! Most times she was telling my mother of my shenanigans before I ever got around to it. Facebook really had her keeping tabs on everyone! She didn't leave comments on posts so it was easy to forget she saw everything until you sat in her living room.
She is the grandmother everyone wishes they had and I hope to give my grandchildren that same feeling of special love she gave me. My magical sparkle of GrammaNess has waved a final goodbye through her kitchen window.
