COLELLA, Gail (Shawcross) 84, of Chelmsford, MA and formerly of Manchester by the Sea, MA died surrounded by her loving family at her home on Thursday, December 29, 2016. She was married to William A. Colella with whom she celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary on August 24th. Born in Lowell, she was the daughter of the late Royal and Nellie (Butterfield) Shawcross. The family would like to thank the staff of Brookdale of N. Chelmsford, the Beacon Hospice, and Joanne Fontaine of Proeldercare for their dedication and compassionate care to Gail. Besides her husband she is survived by her son, William "Biff" and his wife, Pamela of Lakeland, FL; daughter, Lee Ann and her husband, Robert Alden of Westford; grandchildren, Alexander Dinola, Joseph Alden and William Alden and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Lee Shawcross of Chelmsford and Carol Grunditz of Medford Lakes, NJ.
