Richie, Tom, Michael and O'Connor family, please accept my condolences on Dick's recent passing. Mr O'Connor was a great guy, a real good fellow and a well respected fixture in the neighborhood. My mother Mary would occasionally run into Dick on walks and on a most recent meeting, Dick expressed to my mom that he really missed his Marie. And now he's been reunited with his beloved Marie, and guiding over Sean. Our families were friends growing up. Dick and my father Joe and uncle John Dennehy were long time friends, and old Navy veterans. After my father's passing, I sometimes needed a ride to my hockey games. There were many generous Charlestown fathers who would pick you up at the corner or up at the old high school. I remember jumping into the big O'Connor beach wagon on many occasions and joining Dick and my friend Sean on the way to a rink. I remember the rides home as well, as there was some disciplined feedback received, in pretty spirited discussions. These are life long memories. I do hope Dick is at peace now and I wish the O'Connor family well. God Bless.
