BASSETT, Leo F. "Bud" Of Needham formerly of Auburndale on Nov 14, 2012. He was the husband of the late Eleanor (Mayer) Bassett and is survived by his daughters Lisa Wenger and her husband Gregory of Hampton Falls NH, Martha Bassett and her husband James Udelson of Needham and Betsy Bassett and her husband Michael King of Auburndale, his grandchildren Evelyn Ruth and Victoria Eleanor Wenger, Alexandra and Eric Udelson and Lucas, Seth and Maya King. He is also survived by his sister Philma Cooley of Brockport NY and his very dear companion Mary Kelley and her family of Hyde Park. He was pre deceased by 2 brothers and 2 sisters. A visiting hour will be held in the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave NEEDHAM on Fri. Nov 23 at 9 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Church at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Interment with Military Honors will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery Needham. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his name to the Tufts Medical Center CardioVascular Center, mailed to Tufts Medical Center Trust, Box 231, 800 Washington St., Boston, MA 02111. Bud was a wonderful man and we so Blessed to have him in our lives. He was always a perfect Gentleman and is missed very much.

We were blessed with the opportunity to meet" Bud". A gentlemen and man of character.

My heart breaks that I will never see Bud again except when I close my eyes.
Then this big smile appears and I know Bud will be with me always. I was very lucky to be one of his daughters.
