To you my beautiful child, my son. I would give my life and my soul for you. And your brother. You had my and all of my
love the very moment I learned I was going to have you. What a special gift and honor to have been chosen to be your mother. My little messy blonded hair and blue eyed child, with the never ending smile, so much like your father. He would of been so proud of the young man you were becoming. I can't even explain in words how your loss has broken me. There aren't any words just a million tears, and a million more. Grief lay's heavy so heavy on my heart. And the passing of time only makes it worse. Time only reminds me of how long it has been since i've hugged you. It isn't fair that you were taken so young, you were and still are to me a beautiful wonderful son. Would I change anything in our brief time together, well that answer would be yes, but only one thing, one moment I would change. And that would be to have had the chance to hold your hand when you died. There is only one more thing I would like to say, and that is, "no Brent... I'm sorry to say.....the moon is not made of cheese, I love u . I love u...until I see you again stay close to your dad in heaven boo.

Brent I still think about you often. You are missed so much at LABBB. Staff still talk about what a nice young man you were and students who come back for reunion dances, etc. still talk about you and ask about your family. You were always such a pleasure to work with. Even when you were frustrated or didn't like what I was telling you, you were respectful and kind. You were motivated to do your best, supportive of your friends and such a hard worker. I still have all of the pictures that you drew for me. Some of them are still hanging in my office. Your mother donated some of your art supplies to LABBB and the students have enjoyed making art with them. I haven't talked to your lovely mother Gladys in awhile....I owe her a phone call. I hope that she and your brother Kenny are doing well. Your mother was always your strongest advocate Brent. You were so lucky to have her as a mom. You are missed Brent, and you made a difference in this world. I hope wherever you are you are happy and at peace. Much love to you and your family.

I didn't know Brent but, what I have heard is that he is a terrific young man. I have heard that he is quite the artist. My son is in LABBB in Lexington. And, I can say that all the students in the LABBB are friendly, polite and mature. I wish I had met Brent. So sorry for your loss. Find comfort in the many memories that you have.
