MARY FRATI Obituary

FRATI, Mary J. Of Quincy, formerly of East Boston, age 84, entered into eternal life on March 21, 2013. Mary was born and raised in East Boston and lived in Quincy for many years. She graduated from Salem State College and taught first grade in the Quincy school system. She later received a Master's degree from Boston University and was then promoted to Regional Director of the South Shore Remedial Reading School Program. Mary was a member of the Mass Teachers Association and retired in 1998. After retiring, she did volunteer work at the surrounding area hospitals. Beloved sister of Ruth Knott and her husband, Ernest of Quincy, formerly of East Boston, and Julia Hazel and her husband Richard of Leesburg FL, formerly of Londonderry, NH. Loving aunt to several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours at the Clancy-Lucid Funeral Home, 100 Washington St., WEYMOUTH on Sunday, March 24 , 2013 from 1pm until 3 pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden later on.

Bye to my Auntie Mary. You had a profound impact on so many peoples lives, including my own. You were always very dear to me and although I didn't tell you enough, you were always close to my heart. I'm thankful for you being a part of my life, and I'll cherish the memories always.
