Ciampa, Robert A. Of Arlington, formerly of Somerville. Passed away peacefully on February 2, 2014 at the age of 90. Beloved husband of Mary (Leone) Ciampa. Father of Carol and her husband James McGrath of Sutton, Francis Ciampa and his wife Sheila of Andover, Peter Ciampa of Paducah, KY, and David Ciampa and his wife Carolyn of Castine, ME. Grandfather of 14 grandchildren. He is survived by his brother, Edward, and his sisters, Carmela Rice and Eleanor Castellano. He was a graduate of Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and was a co-owner of Grover's Pharmacy in Somerville. Robert served proudly in the Navy during WWII. Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the DeVito Funeral Home, 1145 Mass. Ave., ARLINGTON, on Thursday from 8:30 - 9:30 AM with a funeral mass to commence at 10 AM in St. Agnes Church. Burial to follow in Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge. Carol and family, I am sorry about the loss of your father. I have memories of your family being really nice, when we were growing up in Arlington; we played with a mutual friend, who lived on Hadley Ct. My heart goes out to you. May God console you.

David and I are so sorry to hear of Uncle Bob's passing. He was an uncle and mentor to David.Because of him, David went to pharmacy school.
We are sorry not to be there, but as you know we are in Florida.
