EAGLE, DAVID F. - Lexington  
EAGLE, David F. 78, of Lexington and Falmouth, MA passed away on Saturday, June 20th surrounded by his loving family. He leaves behind his wife of 56 years, Priscilla (Caie) of Lexington, his daughter, Cynthia Fitzpatrick, her husband William, and grandson, Liam of Newton, as well as his son Jeffrey Eagle, his wife Heidi, and grandsons, Matthew and Gregory of Coto de Caza, CA. He also leaves his brothers Robert Eagle of Waltham and Joseph Eagle, and his wife Jo Ann, of Eastham, along with several nieces and nephews. His sister, Barbara M. Dougherty pre-deceased him. Dave was born in Waltham, the son of Dorothy (Hinchey) Eagle and Joseph P. Eagle. At the time of his passing, Dave, who was an untiring worker right up to the time of his hospitalization, was president of Arlex Oil Corporation where he worked with Jack Maloney, his business partner for fifty-two years. He was also president of Interstate Gas and Oil Corporation of Sudbury, and president of C&W Transportation, Inc. The Lexington Lions Club awarded Dave the prestigious White Tricorne Hat in 2010 for his outstanding service to the town. He was past president of the Lexington Rotary Club, the Better Home Heat Council of Massachusetts, and past chairman of the New England Fuel Institute, who honored him as a 'Legend of Oil heat' for devoting exceptional time and service in support of the Oil heat and energy industry. He was the treasurer of the Hayden Recreation Center and the Lexington Housing Assistance Board. Dave served in the Army for two years and was a member of Local 4. When not involved with his numerous community activities, he relished spending time in Falmouth and boating-his passion-for over 30 years. Visiting hours will be from 4-8pm, Monday, June 29th at the Douglas Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Road, LEXINGTON. A funeral service will be held at St. Brigid's Parish, 2001 Massachusetts Avenue, also in Lexington, on Tuesday, June 30th at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dave's memory to the Lustgarten Foundation to Cure Pancreatic Cancer, 1111 Stewart Avenue, Bethpage, NY 11714 ( www.lustgarten.org ), or the Reagle Music Theatre, 617 Lexington Street, Waltham, MA 02452. Eastman, Robert W. Age 86 of West Roxbury, June 29, 2015. Beloved husband of 55 years to Rita E. (Shea) Eastman. Devoted father of Christine Eastman and her husband David of Ramsgate, England and Elizabeth O'Hear and her husband Edward of East Walpole. Loving grandfather of Sam and Rachel. Brother of Joan Poirier of Las Vegas, Nevada. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Bob worked for the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier for 36 years. Upon retirement, Bob volunteered for the DAV and the MSPCA. Throughout his retirement years, he enjoyed traveling and playing golf. EATON, Ralph A. 71, of Sarasota, FL, Chicago, IL & Malden, MA, died on June 25, 2015 at Tidewell Hospice House in Bradenton, FL. He was born in Malden on August 8, 1943, the son of Ralph E. & Marion P. (Perkins) Eaton, both deceased. Mr. Eaton was raised in Malden & graduated from Malden High School in 1960. He graduated from Harvard University in 1965 & University of Michigan in 1967. He was preceded in death by his sister, Virginia E. Meuse & her husband Henry J. Meuse, Jr. of Hollis, NH. He is survived by 2 sisters, Mrs. Dorothy A. Campbell & her husband Raymond M. Campbell of Felton, DE & Mrs. Ruth E. Learned & her husband John F. Learned of Topsfield, MA & several nieces & nephews. Mr. Eaton was a psychologist & counselor employed by organizations dedicated to helping people overcome problems and improve their lives. Services will be in Sarasota, FL at a future date. Madeira Edmands, Beatrice vom Baur 101, Artist and Author, of Tequesta, FL & Kennebunkport, ME passed away February 22, 2015, in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Her husbands were the late Albert Pierpont Madeira and Lawrence Edmands. both of Massachusetts and Maine. A daughter, Carol Pierpont Madeira, predeceased her in 1988. She is survived by her daughter, Marcia Trowbridge Madeira, a Tony Nominated Lighting Designer, her family of NY and ME; stepchildren, Peter L. Edmands of ME, Wendy Edmands Walmsley of SC, and Frank A. Edmands II of OH, their families and her devoted care-giver, Diane Jain. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Ann's Episcopal Church, Kennebunkport, ME on July 6, 2015, 2pm. Evans, Marcia I. (Siret) Of Charlton and Bolton, MA, died June 15. Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, Stanley P. Evans. Survived by four children; Lani Evans of Tiverton, RI; David Evans of Surry, ME; Marcy Thomas of Medway, MA; and Vicki Evans of Camden ME; 8 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. Born November 17, 1924 in Cleveland, Ohio. A talented figure skater, she joined Sonja Henie's Hollywood Ice Revue for the 1943 and 1944 seasons, and remained a lifelong fitness advocate and instructor. Marcia was a strong supporter of encouraging young people to read, and volunteered as an elementary school librarian in Bolton for many years. She was also a faithful and active member of the First Parish of Bolton for over 45 years. Throughout her life she put the highest possible value on family and friends. Keeping in contact and sharing experiences was her greatest source of pleasure. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 5PM on Friday, July 10, 2015 at the First Parish of Bolton, 673 Main St., Bolton, MA, 01740. Burial will be held privately at the Village Cemetery in Shirley.
