VALENTE, Colonel Steven - Dennsport  
VALENTE, Colonel Steven 66 of Dennis Port, formerly of Malden passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2015 after a brief illness. He was the husband of Michele (Micalchuk) Valente, married since 1970. Steve was born and raised in Malden, MA, son of the late Damiano and Ida (Ciano) Valente. Graduate of Malden High Northeastern University. Attended Mass Military Academy where he received his commission as an officer in the Army National Guard. Retired as Colonel after 38 years. Commands included Malden, Melrose, Cambridge, Boston 26th Division, Milford and Selective Service at Camp Curtis. Battalion Commander in Melrose. Was Cicilian Director of Region 1 Selective Service of Mass from 2012 until 2015.He leaves 3 sons: Matthew and his wife, Jennifer, Douglas and his wife, Stacy and Steven James. He was definitely the proud grandfather of Amanda, Emily and Eric Valente. Steve was loved by all who knew him and will be dearly missed. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 21, from 4pm to 7pm at Morris, O'Connor & Blute Funeral Home, 678 Main St., HARWICH CENTER, MA 02645. A Funeral will be celebrated on Friday, May 22 at 11am at Christ Church Episcopal, 671 Route 28 Harwich Port, MA 02646. VASILE, Evelyn (Bryant) Of Quincy, died May 12, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Albert J.Vasile. Loving mother of Albert J. Visile Jr. and his wife Barbara of Quincy and Walter Vasile and his wife Patty of Holbrook. Sister of Claire Shea of Marshfield. Cherished grandmother of Kevin Nee, Brian and Kaitlyn Vasile. Dear aunt of Kathy Shea of Marshfield, Susan Laffin and her husband Jack of Scuitate, Nancy Keane and her husband Thomas of Marshfield and Lydia Devlin and her husband Andrew of W. Roxbury. Sister-in-law of Frank and Barbara Vasile of New Jersey and Joseph Vasile of California. Evelyn is also survived by several nieces and nephews in New Jersey and California. Evelyn was born in Quincy and raised in Dorchester. She settled in Quincy where she lived for 49 years. She worked as a Bookkeeper for over 20 years. She was a loving and devoted mother to her two sons who were her pride and joy. She became very involved in activities with her boys whether it be sporting events or volunteering at Montclair School. She was an talented seamstress and loved to sew. Most of all Evelyn loved and enjoyed being a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She will truly be missed by all who knew her. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. Ventola, William R. Of Melrose, formerly of (Beachmont) Revere, May 17. Beloved husband of Rose Marie (Falzarano) Ventola. Loving father of Barbara Martel & her husband Charlie, Cheryl Ventola all of Melrose. Cherished grandfather of Kara Kilpatrick & her husband David. Great-grandfather to Tegan, Brendon & Liam. Brother of the late Trinks Ventola, John Ventola, Sue Campagna, Anthony Ventola, Lillian Langone, Mary Guerra, James Ventola, Honey Guarino, Ralph Ventola & Nicholas Ventola. VINEYARD, GORDON C. - Chestnut Hill  
VINEYARD, Gordon C., MD Of Chestnut Hill on May 5, 2015 from injuries suffered in a fall after a fifteen year battle with Parkinson's Disease. A member Yale Class 1958 and Harvard Medical School 1963, he served in the US Navy from 1965 to 1967. He completed his general surgery training at the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital. In 1972, he joined the staff at the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital and Harvard Community Health Plan where he served as Director of Surgical Specialties and Radiology and Surgeon-in-Chief of the Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates from 1991-1999 when he became interim Chief Executive Officer. Dr. Vineyard also served as Associate Clinical Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School from 1984 until March 2000. He continued his active involvement with these institutions until his retirement. He is survived by his wife of more than 53 years, Phyllis Rahn Vineyard; children, Samuel R. Vineyard and his wife Hilary L.P. of Mattapoisett, and Amanda V. Kavanagh and her husband Kevin P. of Rye, NY; grandchildren, Julia P., Elizabeth A. C., Claire M. and Kaitlin V. Kavanagh, and Oliver R. Vineyard. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, May 28th at 11am in Church of the Redeemer, 379 Hammond St., Chestnut Hill.
