BURTON, John "Jack" 93, of Boston, June 21, 2016. WWll Veteran US Army Air Corps. Pre-deceased by his father, Lester and his mother Rose (McCabe). Beloved husband of Shirley (Davis). Devoted father of Leslie, John and wife Patty, Daniel and wife Kathleen. Grandfather of Daniel, Carolyn, and Susan and great grandfather of Christopher, Avery, Dillon and Teagan. Pre-deceased by his brothers Lester, William and his wife Deloyce, and brother-in-law "Scotty". Loving brother of Rosemary "Sis" Scott, Edward "Tip" and his wife Paula, and Dolores Burton. Devoted Godfather to Deborah (Burton) McKie. Survived by his "best man", John Murphy, and his wife Ethel. Survived by many wonderful friends, nieces, nephews and his devoted Worcester family: Lisa, Bob, William, Samantha Stake; Deborah, Kevin, Hailey, Celia Firmin; Kelly, Alexa, Aaron Berry; Jim, Mary, Cameron Daniel; Craig, Gail, Craig, Heather Daniel. Visiting hour in the Robert J. Lawler & Crosby Funeral Home, 1803 Centre St., WEST ROXBURY, on Saturday morning, July 2, from 9:00 to 10:00 AM. A Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home at 10:00 AM. Interment with military honors in St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. BUTLER, Essie Mae 88 years old of Boston, born December 31, 1927 in Jacksonville, FL.; she was the wife of the late Charles Edward Butler, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Isaac and Essie Jones, passed away on June 18, 2016. Essie is the beloved mother of 4 sons Charles Butler Jr., Anthony, Terrence and Darryl Butler; 6 daughters Joyce Bennett, Norma Toppin-Dove, Pamela Robb, Jerrilyn Feagin, Karon Johnson and Sharon Butler-Charles. She is the loving sister of John Jones and Marie Pendarvis; Essie is survived by her Children, siblings, 72 grand, great-grand, and great great- grandchildren, many other relatives and friends. There will be a Viewing on Thursday, June 23, 2016 from 10:00 to 11:00am followed by Funeral Services at 11:00 O'clock at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 230 Warren Street, Roxbury, MA. 02119. BUTLER, Lois A. A lifelong Needham resident, June 23, 2016. Loving daughter of the late Charles S. and Kathleen (Grogan) Butler. Dear sister of the late Dr. Henry Butler, Ida K. Butler and Roland Vincent Butler. Lois is survived by her nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and many friends. Funeral from the Eaton Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Ave, NEEDHAM on Wednesday, June 29th at 9AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Church at 10AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours in the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-7PM. Interment at St. Mary's Cemetery, Needham. Graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Newton Class of 1948. Retired Underwriter for John Hancock Insurance Co after 38 years. Lois was a daily communicant and vibrant member of St. Joseph Parish in Needham. For many years, Lois cooked and helped with the housekeeping for the priests and St. Stephens Priory in Dover.
