Abbott, Lois V. (Sentner) Of Melrose, June 28, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Richard E. Abbott, Sr. with whom she shared 61 years of marriage. Devoted mother of Gail Swanson and her husband Daniel of Saugus, Rick Abbott, Jr. and his wife Maureen of Andover, and Cheryl D. Abbott-Shalvey and her husband Eugene of Quincy. Cherished grandmother of 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of the late Valerie Scarborough, Walter J. Sentner, Roy Jeffrey, Mabel McKenzie, and many other deceased siblings. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. ALLES, RICHARD S. - Boston  
Alles, Richard S. Formerly of Weston and Marblehead, passed away after a long illness at his home in Salem, Massachusetts, Wednesday, June 17, 2015, surrounded by family. He was 92 years of age. Richard, known to friends as Dick, grew up in Cambridge, and graduated from Buckingham, Browne & Nichols School. He went on to Harvard College, Class of '46, and was on the rowing team. At the outbreak of World War II, he left Harvard and entered the Merchant Marine Academy. He served as a commanding officer on supply and troop ships in the Atlantic and then Pacific theaters of battle. At the time of his passing, he was retired from his career in the insurance industry for more than a decade. He was an active and enthusiastic BB&N alumnus, serving on its Board of Trustees. He is survived by his wife of twenty-two years, Elisabeth Lowe Alles, son Richard "Tad" Alles, Jr., as well as his stepchildren and grandchildren. A memorial service will be held July 25th, at 11 a.m., at the First Parish Church in Weston, Massachusetts. Richard S. Alles' remains will be interred in Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge. Gifts, in his memory, should be made to the Linda L. Alles Fund at Winsor School, Boston, or Buckingham, Browne & Nichols School, Cambridge.

AMERO, Howard G. "Howie" 80, died Sunday, June 28, 2015. He was the husband of Linda (Wade) Amero. He was born in Boston, the son of the late Howard J. and Melena (Morrison) Amero. Mr. Amero was a United States Army Veteran serving in the Korean War. He was employed as a truck driver for the former Everett Auto Parts in Marlborough and as a mechanic for the former Dick's Gulf Station in Marlborough. She is the wife of the late Stephen Arns. Jean is preceded in death by her son Michael Kelly. ARSENEAULT, NORMAN - Cambridge  
Arseneault, Norman Of Marstons Mills, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2015. Born and raised in Cambridge, MA. After his graduation from Ringe Tech in Cambridge he joined the Marines during WWII, his service being both in the campaign in Okinawa and China. Following the war he received his BA and MA from Suffolk University as well as an Associate degree in Engineering Technology from North Shore. He was a certified quality control engineer working on military and NASA contracts for 40 years. His wife, Winifred, predeceased him in 1995. Together they raised five bright and lovely children. He is survived by his sons, Steven, David and Wayne Arseneault along with his daughters, Lisa Willis and Susan McMahon, daughters-in-law, Mari, Ellie and Susan Arseneault as well as sons-in-law, Paul Willis and Jack McMahon. His ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren kept him young and brought him such joy. He is also survived by his longtime companion of 18 years, Mary Ferrecane, who brought a second chance at happiness. He was a sports enthusiast who had a lifelong love of bowling with a 108 average and two high singles of 187 and 184…and we are talking candlepin! And in retirement he loved to golf and shot his age (85) twice. Visiting hours in the John-Lawrence Funeral Home, 3778 Falmouth Rd., (Rt 28), MARSTONS MILLS, on Wednesday, July 1 from 3-6 PM.
