BARBARA M. VAUGHAN

VAUGHAN, Barbara M. 89, of Stoughton passed away March 17th 2012 in Stoughton. Born in Malden, she was the daughter of the late George and Blanche (Steadman) Vaughan. A graduate of the University of Michigan Class of 1944, she was the first woman director of the Alumni Association from 1955-1958 as well as Vice President of the Alumni Association in 1957 and 1958. She received the Distinguished Alumni Services Award in 1961. Barbara was employed as Vice President of Finance for Health Consultants Incorporated US and Health Survey Consultants Canada. She served as a US Delegate to the International Fiscal Congress for 12 years ending in 1982 and was President of the Administrative Management Society, Boston Chapter in 1969-1970. She traveled extensively through Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and Central and South America. A graveside service will be held Monday, November 19th at 12:00 PM in Wyoming Cemetery, 205 Sylvan St. in Melrose.
