CARMINE CIAMPA(1933 - 2014)

Ciampa, Carmine Of Saugus, age 80, died on Friday, July 18, 2014 at the Massachusetts General Hospital with his family by his side. Born, September 9, 1933, he was a lifelong resident of Saugus. The son of the late Vincenzo and Angelina Ciampa, he worked for Essex County at the Lynn District Court, he was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Ciampa served as a Special Police Officer with the Saugus Police, the owner of North Shore Constables and a member of the MA Chief of Police Association. A licensed pilot who loved to fly, he was a member of the AOPA; Aircraft Owner and Pilots Association. Mr. Ciampa was a proud owner of a Cessna Skyhawk kept at Beverly Airport. He was also a member of the Saugus ITAM Club. He is survived by five children; Gail Ciampa Spear of NH, Vincent "Jimmy" Ciampa of Pepperell, Dayle Ciampa-Goldstein of Middleton, Leanne Fasano of Saugus, Kevin Ciampa of Saugus, 7 grandchildren & 1 great grandchild. He was the brother of Vincent James Ciampa of Saugus and predeceased by 2 brothers & 4 sisters. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the Joslin Diabetes Center, 1 Joslin Place, Boston, MA 02215. Relatives & friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the Bisbee-Porcella Funeral Home, 549 Lincoln Ave., SAUGUS, Wednesday 4-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday at 11 a.m. Interment Riverside Cemetery, Saugus.
