AMIDON, Dean Paul Of Monterey, MA, died on October 9th in Gt Barrington, MA. He was born in Worcester, MA on June 6th, 1924. A World War II
Navy veteran, and a graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute, he served a long and distinguished career with the Massachusetts Department of Public Works, including serving as the Commissioner of Public Works from 1979-1981. He is survived by his wife Frances Robertson Amidon, his sons and their wives, Skip and Blakely Ann, Peter and Mary Alice, Phillip and Jami, and Jay and Jay and Faye, 13 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. Calling hours are on Monday, October 14th, from 6-8PM, at the Finnerty and Stevens Funeral Home, 426 Main Street, GREAT BARRINGTON, MA. The funeral will be held at the First Congregational Church, 251 Main Street, Great Barrington, MA.
