NAKASHIAN, Doris Jean
(Carlson) 94, died Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Kathleen Daniels Nursing Home in Framingham after a sudden illness. Born in Paxton, IL, January 16, 1922, she was the daughter of Earl and Loretta (Willard) Carlson. Mrs. Nakashian moved to New England over 50 years ago and resided on Spruce Tree Lane in Wayland for over 30 years. Along with her husband, the late Haig Nakashian, she co-owned and operated American International Imports throughout Massachusetts for over 30 years. Doris was a strong and wonderful mother, wife, grandmother, sister and aunt. She was an active member of the Wayland Senior Center for many years and particularly enjoyed any kind of dancing, whether it was ballroom, square, or line dancing. She was also a wonderful cook and enjoyed gardening and crafts. Beloved mother of Stephen Nakashian and his wife Carolyn of CA, Diane J. Nakashian of Shirley, Richard Nakashian and his wife Jane of Boston; proud grandmother of Travis, Casey, Paul, Gregory and Francis. Interment will be held Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at 11AM at Woodlawn Cemetery, 148 Brook Street, Wellesley. A memorial service will follow on Wednesday at 1:00PM at the Trinitarian Congregational Church, 53 Cochituate Road, Wayland. For additional information, tributes and guestbook please visit:

I am so sorry to hear Doris passed. It has been a few years now, but I use to drive her to her doctor appointments. She was kind, friendly, and always happy. I enjoyed helping her. God bless her.
