FITZSIMMONS, Elvira M. A long-time resident of Marstons Mills, MA passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 95 years of age. Vi enjoyed working at the Wool Shop in Osterville, and the Scandinavian Shop in Cotuit, as well as volunteering at the Barnstable County Fair 4-H Youth building and at the Ashumet Holly Reservation. She was always busy with projects such as sewing, knitting, stenciling, braiding rugs, creating dried arrangements and beautiful note cards. She especially loved to cook. She enjoyed many trips to Newport, flower shows, museums, and annual trips to the Vineyard. Vi is survived by daughters Barbara Segal and her husband Bruce, Stephanie Swan, and son Richard Quigley and wife Nancy; granddaughters Elizabeth Generazio, husband Rich, and Richs son Richie; Janet Clay and husband Steve, Jennifer Stott and husband Jim, Wendy Puz and husband Willie, great grandchildren Alex, Ava, Natalie, Dana, and Brandon. She also leaves nephews Fred and Kirk Davis and their families. She was predeceased by her husband John F. Fitzsimmons, her son Robert Peter Quigley, her sister Barbara and husband Warren Bun Davis. There will be a private graveside ceremony at Mosswood Cemetery in Cotuit. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Elviras memory to the Centerville-Osterville-Marstons Mills Fire and Rescue Dept., Rte. 28, Centerville, MA 02632.
