Potterton, Eugene J. "Gino"
Age 78, of Hudson, NH, formerly of Billerica and Somerville, MA passed away on Saturday, October 5th. He was the beloved husband of Catherine T. (Long) Potterton. "Gino" was born in Everett in 1935, and was the son of the late Ernest and Anne Potterton. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed working as a pressman for over 40 years of his life with various Boston newspapers. He was a wonderful family man, sports enthusiast, and staunch democrat. He was always up for a good debate, or a great time. In addition to his wife, Gino is survived by three loving children, Patricia Porter and her husband Alan of Estero, FL, Jack McDonald of Billerica, and Michael McDonald and his wife Denise of Chelmsford; four beautiful granddaughters, Jamie McDonald, Rachael Porter-Levasseur, Kristen Porter-Quinn, and Kayla Pelland; two great grandchildren that he adored, Payton Levasseur and Jackson James Quinn; and two sisters, Carol McLaughlin and her husband John of Medford, and Kathleen West of Lexington. A celebration of Gino's life will be held at the Blake Funeral Home, 24 Worthen Street, Chelmsford on Wednesday at 12:30 pm.
