FRANK J. ORLANDO

ORLANDO, Frank J. 91, of Quincy, formerly of Roxbury and the North End, passed away peacefully on the morning of January 28, 2013, surrounded by the love, care and comfort of family. He was the devoted husband of more than 60 years to the late Mary (Bussolini) Orlando who died Oct. 24, 2010. Mr. Orlando served his country with honor in the U.S. Navy during WWII and the Korean war, and was discharged with the rank SOG2 on January 28, 1952. He was a retired Systems Analyst at the Boston Naval Shipyard, where he worked for many years. Remembered as a friendly, patriotic and respectful man, Frank was supremely devoted to his loving family. His family meant everything to him, and his happiest times were those spent in their company. Loving father of Michael Orlando and wife Elizabeth Hastings of Milton, Christopher Orlando and wife Carla of Quincy, Paul Orlando and wife Rose of Norwell, David Orlando and wife Jackie of Windham, NH, Gary Orlando and companion Melissa of Boston, Frances Bonello and husband Mario of Norfolk, VA, and Marion Hurley and husband Mark of Marshfield. Cherished Papa of Jennafer & Daniel Bonello and Evelyn, Nick, Marina, Luca, Angelo, Chloe & Ty Orlando. Dear brother of Jasper Orlando and wife Dorothy of Quincy, Anthony Orlando and wife Viola of Quincy and the late Vincent Orlando. Also survived by a sister-in-law, Carol Orlando of Stoughton, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews and extended family. is funeral, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held Sunday February 3rd at 11:45AM at the Hamel, Wickens & Troupe Funeral Home, 26 Adams St. Quincy Center, culminating in Military Honors. The Rev. John Swanson, Pastor of Union Congregational Church, Wollaston, will officiate. Interment will be private. Visiting Hours will be held prior to the start of the service, beginning at 10:00 AM.
