Tzimorangas, George J.
80 of Brookline died Friday, January 18, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Theodosia (Katsantonis) Tzimorangas, to whom he had been married to for 51 loving years. Born in Fourka, Konitsis, Greece in 1932, to Father Ioannis and Areti (Sideris) Tzimorangas, he served in the Greek National Army and was a Military Police Officer
in Athens for several years. He came to the United States in 1961 and began working for the Jordan Marsh Company in Boston and later as an Electrician (Teamsters Local #25) for Jordan Marsh at their warehouse location in Quincy. He received a degree from the Wentworth Institute of Technology, completing this work at night. He was a member of the Weymouth Masonic Lodge, A.F. & A.M. and of the AHEPA Chapter #24 of Boston, where he served as Treasurer for several terms. He is survived by his children, John G. Tzimorangas and his wife, Laura of Sandwich, and Rita Tzimorangas-Mooney and her husband, Robert of Waltham; a sister Zoitsa Kitsis and her husband, Soterios of Brookline; three grandchildren, George, Christopher and Alexandra and several nieces and nephews.
