Loomis, Gordon MacLeod
Of Pueblo, CO died peacefully on Sunday, October 27, 2013 surrounded by family after a long struggle with cancer. He was born in Middleburg, VA on October 22, 1957 to Mary Paul MacLeod Loomis (Hamilton, MA) and the late Henry Loomis. He is survived by his wife Patricia Salgado Loomis; daughters Patricia and Teresa Rebeca (husband Jeb); son Henry Gregory; grandchildren Noah, Ethan and Brody; brother Henry Stimson (wife Toni); sisters Mary Paul and Lucy; and many nieces and nephews. He attended primary school in Middleburg, VA attended Concord Academy (MA) and graduated from Pingree School (MA). While working with the Peace Corps in Nueva Emperial, Chili he met Patricia. They were married in Manchester-by-the-Sea, MA on September 30, 1978. They lived in Chili for 4 years having 2 children Patricia and Rebeka. Moving to Norfolk, VA Gordon completed college with a degree in Physical Therapy from Old Dominion University. While living and practicing physical therapy in Jacksonville, FL for 3 years, they had a third child, Henry. As a physical therapist Gordon was very successful, moving to Colorado in 1989 and working as a director of and then owning clinics in Pueblo and Colorado City. He moved to Texas in 1999, directing and then partnering in a clinic in Dallas. In 2012, Gordon returned to Pueblo, CO to live and work. Gordon will always be remembered for being a wonderful and loving husband, father, son and brother and will be greatly missed. A private service will be held at 10AM on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at the Davis Mortuary in Pueblo, CO. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Gordon's name to the Sangre de Cristo Hospice, 1207 Pueblo Blvd. Way, Pueblo, CO 81005.
