Carey, Helen S.
Cherished wife of Michael E. Eramo, died at her home from complications of cancer on Friday, November 2, 2012. She was 67. Helen was born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in Toledo, Ohio. She graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in English and had a successful career at Boston University, becoming the Director of Admissions at the BU Law School. She then went on to a career in technical writing, working at both EMC and Veritas. Helen loved books, enjoyed the rich Boston arts community with her husband and friends, especially theater and symphony. Helen leaves her husband, Michael Eramo, her sister Alice Ross Carey, her brother-in-law Paul Fisher and many devoted friends, all of whom enjoyed her special warmth, her wonderful sense of humor, and her giving nature. Family and friends are invited to a Funeral Mass on Wednesday, November 7, 11:00 AM at St. Cecelia's Parish, 18 Belvidere St., Boston, MA. All are invited to a luncheon reception following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Animal Rescue League at 10 Chandler Street, Boston, MA 02116.
