DOWD, John Cooke, Jr. Died unexpectedly at age 81 at his home in Watertown on November 10, 2012, with loving wife and partner of 35 years, Christine (Jensen) and his devoted son Robert at his side. He was the loving son of the late John C. and Marguerite (McCann) of Weston. He was the devoted brother of Carol (Mrs. Joseph Shea) of Weston, Roger (and late wife Lisa) of Framingham, Michael of Weston, Paul (and wife Paula) of Ashburnham, and was the beloved uncle of Joseph Manion (and wife Dorian) of Framingham, Hilary Crowley (and husband John) of Sudbury, Roger (and wife Lori) of Arvada, CO, Jennifer of Framingham, Ryan of Cambridge, Michael (and wife Erin) of St. Louis, MO and their families. He is survived by the family of his son John C. Dowd III who predeceased him (1994), two sons, Robert of Watertown, MA and Gerald of Chicago, IL and his family, and two daughters, Rosemarie (Mrs. John Kelly) of Derry, NH and Marguerite (Mrs. Christopher Monahan) of Medway, MA and their families. He leaves nine grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Julia's Church, 374 Boston Post Road, Weston. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial will be at a later date. Calling hours at the Eugene J. McCarthy and Sons Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln Street, FRAMINGHAM, will be on Friday, November 16, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
