Maccario, Katherine T. (Kay)
Katherine (Kay) was born on May 3, 1929, in Saugus, Mass. And passed unto her eternal rest with God on March 17, 2013 Kay was the daughter of Charles & Marguerite Damory & grew up in Saugus. She married Vincent P. Maccario in 1949 & together they made their home & raised their family in Saugus. Katherine worked for Eastern Tool Manufacturing, retiring in the mid-90s after more than 15 years of service. Katherine was a very sociable person who could put a smile on everyone's face. Her love of laughter was contagious as was her warmth and thoughtfulness. She and her husband enjoyed many winters in Florida, before residing in Maine with her daughter and family. She enjoyed growing and passing out Aloe plants to all her family & friends. When Katherine began losing her vision, it was then that she became involved with programs through the Iris Network and never let her poor eyesight stop her from enjoying life to the fullest. She was always keeping up on current events listening to the radio.She had a great love of animals, music, and spending time on the beach. Having friends & neighbors visit her was always a great highlight in her day. Katherine was predeceased by a sister, Charlotte Petkavitch. She is survived by her husband, Vincent P. Maccario; a daughter Dale & her husband Don Perry of Maine, two sons, James & his wife Lisa of North Reading and Robert of Salem; along with nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a sister, Hope and her husband Frank Nerden of Danvers; as well as many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2013 10:30 am, St Margaret's Catholic Church, Lincoln Ave Saugus, MA
