Kuhn, Leonard A.
Of Fort Lauderdale and formerly of Arlington, MA died Thursday, February 28 at age 69. He was born in Arlington on January 26, 1944, the son of Charles A. and Marguerite E. (Rich) Kuhn. Len married his partner, Pieter de Jonge of Amsterdam on August 21, 2005 in a garden ceremony on Avon Place in Arlington. Len Kuhn, A.I.A., A.S.I.D., I.B.D., was a retired architect who graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology and the Boston Architectural Center. He began his career at Keyes Associates in Waltham, MA and started his own firm, The Kuhn Group, in Arlington in 1984. Len loved good design and relished renovation projects that others might find daunting. He also loved to entertain and his famous brownies and chocolate chip cookies were always in demand. Len was a long-time member of Pleasant Street Congregational Church in Arlington and he served on the Arlington Historic Districts Commission for many years. Len is survived by Pieter de Jonge, C. Dana Kuhn of Lynn, MA, JoAnn Richardson of Rutland, VT, Stephan Kuhn of Rutland, VT, Stacey Schaffer of Mendon, VT, Doris Kuhn of Stoneham, MA, David Kuhn of Stoneham, MA, Pamela Kuhn of Stoneham, MA, several great nieces and nephews, and a large circle of wonderful friends.
