STEFAN, Nancy L. (Commander) Age 70, of Cohasset, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2013 after a long battle with lung disease. She was born on March 16, 1943 to Alec and Jeanette (Miller) Commander. She grew up in Cleveland, OH and eventually got married and had three children. She is survived by her daughters, Mara Stefan of Cohasset and Marchell Stefan of Scottsdale, AZ and her son, Alec Stefan of California. Grandmother of Eric and Ethan Bartucca. Also survived by her younger sister, Claudia Kozel of OH, and three nieces and nephews, as well as her former husband Paul A. Stefan of No. California. Nancy was an avid proponent of Animal rights and supported many organizations including the Humane Society and Scituate Animal Shelter. She enjoyed traveling, reading and watching Nascar on the weekends. A Memorial Service will held in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 1 Summer St. (across from St. Anthony Church), COHASSET, on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 5 pm. Visiting hours immediately prior to service from 3-5 pm on Sat., May 4. In lieu of flowers, donations in Nancy's memory may be made to the Scituate Animal Shelter, 780 CJC Hwy., Scituate, MA. 02066.
