McLAUGHLIN, Robert Born June 12, 1946- February 21, 2013, of South Thomaston, Maine. Son of John F. and Claire (Nichols) McLaughlin of Cambridge. Leaving behind a twin brother Ricky, sister Susan, an aunt Helen and 2 children Paul Jr. and Patty, 3 children Shawn, Meaghan and Kate, his life partner Catherine Widdecombe and her children Terry, Tod and Shawna and Scott Elwell of South Thomaston, 3 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He graduated from Rindge Technical with a master's in commercial art. He entered the U.S. Navy
and was active at the time of the Cuban missle crisis. Bob prepared lunch for then president Ronald Reagan at the Brandenburg Gate. Bob later worked for Harvard University
and was a Union Officer in contract negotiations in Washington, D.C. A Celebration of Bob's Life will be held in the spring at the Veterans Cemetery, Augusta, ME.
