Bobbitt, Sarah "Sally"
81, passed away recently after a long illness. She loved reading, playing bridge, dining out, and travelling, particularly visits to the Maine coast. During her life, she was a teacher, a director of a Day Care Centre and a committed volunteer. She has lived in Cambridge, MA; Evanston, IL and Lincoln, MA, before moving to Marlborough in 2004. She spent summers in Newagen, ME. Sally was the daughter of Elizabeth and Charles Bolster (both deceased), and the widow of Lake Bobbitt. She is survived by two daughters (Emily Nicholson of Sydney, Australia, and Jody Zolli of Hudson, MA), a brother (Stephen Bolster of North Haledon, NJ), a sister (Kitsy Winthrop of Portland, ME), four grandchildren (Erica Merten of Worcester, MA, Emily Arsenault of Hudson, MA, Tori Nicholson of Sydney, Australia, and Leo Zolli of Hudson, MA), and three great-grandchildren (Ellie and Jonah Arsenault of Hudson, MA and Nikolai Merten of Worcester, MA). As her mother, also a big volunteer, often said, she's "gone to another meeting"! At Sally's request, there will not be a funeral or wake, but instead a memorial service later this year. In lieu of flowers, if desired, please send donations to the Hendricks Hill Museum of Southport Island, ME: or P.O. Box 3, Southport, ME 04576.
