Weiner, Stanley B.
88, of Melrose formerly of Malden. Entered Eternal Rest July 18, 2013. Born and raised in Malden, Stan was a WWII
Army Air Corps veteran, who served in communications with 8th Air Corps in England. He served in the Normandy D-Day campaign in the liberation of Northern France. He was awarded 4 battle stars including the African-Rhineland and German campaigns. In July 2000, Mr. Weiner was awarded a citation from the Republic of France Ministry of Defense for wartime service of 100 missions with the 489th Bomb Group. Mr. Weiner retired from many years of employment with John Hancock Insurance Co. in management and marketing administration. He was active in many organizations, including Past Noble Grand of the Lebanon Lodge of Oddfellows, Treasurer of Lebanon-Tifereth Israel Cemetery Association, 50 year member of Mt. Scopus Lodge of Masons, Aleppo Temple of Shrine, Salem Scottish Rites, Jewish War Veterans and American Legion. He also served as district chair of the former Quanapowit Council
of Boy Scouts and the Melrose and Newton Kiwanis Clubs. Mr. Weiner was a life long history buff and in his later years developed and expertise troubleshooting with computers and communicating with friends worldwide. Devoted husband of Beverly (Goldstein) Weiner. Beloved father of June & her husband James Weiner Wulff and Ellen Weiner. Cherished grandfather of Elise Weiner Wulff and Cameron Gayle Wulff. Dear brother of the late Burton Weiner. Services at Lebanon-Tifereth Israel Cemetery Route 128N (between Exit 25 Rte 114 & Exit 24 Endicott St) Peabody Sunday July 21 at 1:30 PM.
