He published 52 articles in peer-reviewed journals, 25 book chapters, and gave countless lectures to make valuable contributions to the areas of degenerative disc disease, lumbar stenosis, spinal manifestations of rheumatoid arthritis, and in medical education. Dr. Lipson was known for his empathic and caring approach to his patients, to teaching and to the medical community at large. He had a gentle humor, incredibly positive attitude, and was happiest enjoying a long dinner with friends and family.
