CARY, Thomas Tripp Of South Dartmouth, died on January 22, 2013. He was 88 years old. Mr. Cary was born in Fairhaven, the son of Floyd Francis Cary and Anna Tripp Cary. He graduated from the Moses Brown School before enlisting in the Army
in 1943. Mr. Cary received commendations, including the Purple Heart
& the Bronze Star
. Mr. Cary graduated from Brown then began a sales career with Aerovox, of New Bedford. He retired from Gerber Sales, headquartered in Needham. Mr. Cary is survived by his daughters, Sarah Cary Lemelin and Martha Cary Shuster of South Dartmouth; his son, Peter Gifford Cary of Wellesley; eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and a sister, Constance Cary Howland of South Dartmouth. A Memorial Service will be held at the Congregational Church, 17 Middle Street South Dartmouth, MA at 11:00 Saturday, February 2nd.
