Of Braintree, 88 years of age, entered Life Eternal at the Royal Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Braintree on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 after a long illness. She was born in Boston and had resided in South Weymouth before moving to Braintree in 1975. She was a graduate of the Laboure School of Nursing at Carney Hospital in Dorchester. Veronica was a registered nurse at Carney Hospital for a number of years. She was a communicant of Saint Clare Parish in Braintree. She was the wife of the late Thomas Patrick Baggett who died in 1997. She is the devoted mother of 7 children; James Baggett married to Mary Jo of Abington, Veronica Fratus married to Robert of Plymouth, Stephen Baggett married to Karen of East Bridgewater, Maureen McCann married to Paul of East Bridgewater, Adrienne Tishko married to Dennis of Littlerock, AR, Jerome Baggett married to Sheri of Oakland, CA and Sean M. Baggett married to Elaina of Braintree. She is survived by 20 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter. She is survived by a sister Christine Worcester of Marston's Mills and a brother John Worcester. She was sister of the late Margaret Hopkins and Ellie Turner. Visiting hours will be held at the Mortimer N. Peck-Russell Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington Street, BRAINTREE, Thursday, May 16th from 4:00-8:00pm. There will be a gathering at the funeral Home on Friday, May 17th at 9:00am prior to a Funeral Mass in the Church of St. Clare, 1244 Liberty Street, Braintree Highlands at 10:00am.
